The brief
ZyberFox needed a team to take Connect's messaging module and administration portal from design to production. Both had to plug into the client's existing infrastructure and be easy for the client's own developers to take over.
What we did
Under a services agreement from August 2022, Kaleva placed designers and engineers alongside ZyberFox's team and ran stakeholder engagement and the project plan across two teams in different locations.
- Real-time messaging with group conversations, events and file uploads, built on Zulip and integrated with the client's infrastructure.
- An admin portal, from UI design through front-end, back-end and API integration testing.
- Logical and physical architecture for both products.
- A reusable front-end component library and integration test suites.
The outcome
We signed off handover documents for messaging and the admin portal in October 2022, with all code and IP in ZyberFox's and the client's repositories. In April 2023 we delivered the final architecture documentation and ran handover sessions with the client's developers, who took over both products.
